Additional Info – Why This Script Exists

GreasyFork++ is great, it modernizes the script browsing experience with better filters, tag views, and a slicker UI. But one thing it breaks is the install button behavior. You click "Install", and instead of instantly getting the script like the good ol’ days, you get a nowhere...

That’s where GreasyFork++ Install Button Fixer comes in.

This script hijacks the broken buttons and forces them to behave like normal links again. When you click Install, it just takes you straight to the .user.js file.

How It Works

Waits for GreasyFork++ to finish adding their fancy buttons. Scans for any install links and replaces them with clean, working versions. Clicking one now just opens the script in the current tab, the way it was meant to.

Simple. Clean. No nonsense.

Works With

  • GreasyFork++
  • Violentmonkey, Tampermonkey, and all other major script managers
  • Any GreasyFork layout where .install-link exists (future-proofed as best as possible)
